I am writing this curled up on my bed with the biggest smile on my face. I just pinched myself to be sure this is real life. I’m here, where do I begin? (how about, from the beginning) When I started this blog (here comes the epistle) I was in a very dark place (aren’t we always?) I wanted to make certain changes in my life and this blog was the first step to doing it (🧢) I had no idea what I was doing (ment?) I had close to zero experience in writing but I was ready to make my mistakes here and learn from them.
Here I am, 15 blogposts, a global pandemic, 20 hairstyles, two global protests and one boyfriend later. I am not there yet but I’m very proud of myself and that I had something going on for an entire year. It’s been one hell of a journey, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world.
Special shout-out to Ayobami & Aderonke, the recipients of my non-existent giveaway. Y’all are my biggest supporters and I am very grateful to you. Thank you for never missing a post, for always reposting and making sure you drop a comment. This platform wouldn’t be where it is without you two.

This is the book of life, make sure your name enters it next year. This year will come with more consistent uploads because I’d rather be here with you than watch Arsenal on weekends. My mental health deserves better.
